Where Angels Fear to Tread combines heavy lifting with substantial training volume and accumulated fatigue. For dedicated strength work, choose loads that leave around 1–2 technically sound repetitions in reserve. Heavy should feel heavy, but repetitions should never become uncontrolled grinders.
For AMRAPs, EMOMs, chippers, complexes and density blocks, reduce the load accordingly. Choose weights you can continue moving safely and efficiently as fatigue builds rather than loads that force repeated breakdowns or long stoppages.
For carries, sandbags and weighted-vest work, the load should be challenging without compromising posture, movement or breathing. Explosive movements should remain fast and technically sharp.
Suggested effort: RPE 7–9/10, depending on the session.
The workload may push you hard. Your Anchor Point doesn’t move just because you’re tired.
